I read a similar series long time ago but the planet was dying and they needed to find mates to continue their race. I love these types of genres.

Super-natural tied with romance! Could be interesting. Although the scientific nature of the book can put your mind on a different path, the gender inequality brings you right back to the real world. Great review.

This sounds like a very captivating read. Abby's experience in the alien kingdom is something I'm looking forward to reading about. Thanks for the insightful review.

I like sci-fi novels and I adore books about aliens. The fact that it is not the usual love at first sight with her captor and that Nicolai had to "fight" to win Abby's love is really exciting. I will definitely read this book. Thanks for making it free and congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I typically don't read books with aliens in them, as I am not a fan of the sci-fi genre, but this does sound like an intriguing book. Congrats on BOTD!!

I'm rather skeptical when it comes to the juxtaposition of the sci-fi and romance genres. However, Abby looks like a rather atypical female protagonist considering that she doesn't blindly accept either the patriarchal rules in the alien world or Nicolai's claims to be her partner. Thanks for a detailed review!

What Nicolai did to Abby is not fair, but I think what happened was just meant to be. Abby in Nicolai's Life is a stronger force to help overcome the conspiracy of their opponents. I am intrigued by the storyline. Nice review.

A romance novel set in a science fiction theme sounds pretty appealing to me. A lot of people today, don't realise how much romance played in many older science fiction tales. Especially in the movies from the 50's onwards, there were many love stories with space adventure merely being a type of fancy embroidery for the background of the story. This book seems to take this further as the author does not show the lady to be helpless and brainless, as in some older stories, but rather, very human with feelings, and very resourceful as well. Other creatures that come from the realms of other science fiction as well as from fantasy, are introduced. This seems to add another twist to the tale. Your review was interesting and pleasant to read.

The review on this book is very interesting. It actually grabs the attention of readers without them reading the actual book itself. I love the fact that it talks about the upliftment of women.

She's abducted my an alien and told she will now be his mate and queen. I like that she doesn't believe it at first, then fights it rather than accepting her fate blindly. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

I am already intrigued from the review. I love that the author includes the fight for women's right in the book. It just not a story, it is real. Nice review!

Interesting review. Maybe the "underdeveloped" characters represent a deliberate attempt by the author to make you read the next book hoping that they may be fleshed out there.
