A great review thank you. The storyline draws you in from the onset. Not what I was expecting, Thomas and kat straight away are strong characters and it is written in the third person, I feel makes it a better read .congratulations to the author

This is a fascinating fast-paced book. I immensely enjoyed reading the rather long sample and anxious to finish reading the book. Science fiction and romance is a nice combination. Thank you for your review.

This is what I would call the battle for survival, your review sounds very motivational.

This sounds like a combination of science fiction and historical fiction. I love the period that the plot is set in and I'm looking forward to reading this book as I'm interested to learn the type of creature/being that Anstey actually is. The descriptions and the setting sounds wonderful as well, and this story certainly sounds like a great reading adventure. Your review was interesting and colorful, a pleasure to read.

First and foremost the execution of this book is just too notch .The way the author leaves you in suspense in different chapters makes you want to continue to read it some more.I also like the fact that the author made 'kat'a female the central character and that just shows how much people are starting to appreciate giving women the recognition they deserve

I started reading a few pages, just to get a feel of the book, and before I knew it, I had finished the chapter! The author, Susan Hancock, blended historical fiction with sci-fi. What a great concept in itself, but the writing is terrific, and the descriptions keep you hungering for more. I love how she chose actual places to use ( basically ) as backdrops for the areas where her story takes place. I am definitely going to finish "Surviving Anstey". Thank you for the free download.

I like stories with strong female leads. That, coupled with the intriguing premise and compelling characters makes this book a must-read in my opinion. Fantastic review!

This review is very thorough without being too detailed that all of the secrets and plot twists are given away. I like that the reviewer is specific about the 2 different characters speaking in the different points of view also. Letting the future reader know that Kat seems to take precedence because her speech is in the first person can really clear up any possible confusion that might occur in the beginning. Sounds like an interesting plot, especially with the human having the same powers as the aliens. I can't wait to finish reading "Surviving Anstey" by Susan Hancock!

This looks like a great beginning for a trilogy combining sci-fi elements with an Elizabethan England setting. Kat seems like a strong female character. I wonder why she has similar powers to Thomas's. Thanks for a wonderful review!

Thanks for a great review and for whetting my appetite to read this book. Setting a sci-fi story in the depths of Elizabethan England is a brilliant idea and kudos to the author for dreaming it up. The writing style, from what I read of the story, is captivating and I cannot wait to dive in and enjoy this seemingly wonderful tale!
