This fantasy novel expertly addresses some critical issues along the way too. With the way this aspect was done in a considerate manner, I'm sure open-minded readers would understand the author's thoughts. Congrats on botd!!

Sci/Fi fantasy books are not my cup of tea. Mostly because of the unfamiliar words the author develops for the book. It is so cumbersome to me that I prefer to just stay away from this genre. Your review was easy to read and informative, and I found it quite interesting. Thank you for sharing.

It is never advisable to battle demons while still having your demons. I am excited to learn how Teresa battles the outer demons and her inner demons in "The Stylite" by Shane Hallawa. Congratulations on BOTD.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting science fiction story about Teresa Amadei who goes on a transformative journey to the city of Alexantine and face both external and internal challenges. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

This is a young adult fantasy story, framed within a modern Byzantine context. There is a lot of explanation and detail upfront ahead of the story explaining the context, the characters and some of the cultures involved. I found this intro to be very heavy and it threw off my interest in the story.
