A beautiful girl turning into a dragon is definitely a first for me. Your review is cool, I agree with your comments on the book, and I can't wait to read it.

The cover truly is pretty and intriguing! I really appreciated this review. I think I read the blurb on Amazon when I downloaded it and it was kind of confusing. I love dragon stories so I downloaded it anyway. I'm glad to see it should be worth it!

Pip appears to be a spunky character attempting to make sense of a world where she was previously alienated. Drawing upon the slave trade analogy, this is potentially comparable to those newly freed slaves navigating the freshly liberated world. Some individuals were stuck in the old value systems, content with continuing to belittle the divided race while others were more accepting. Pip seems to be one who is tenacious though, making her a relatable character that overcomes adversity.

The book cover looks amazing and the plot about Pip transforming into a bronze dragon is immensely interesting and fresh. I would love to immediately dig in to this seemingly fun and dark adventure novel. Congrats!

I must admit that the picture on the cover did draw me in. IThis sounds like it has a good fantasy plot. I am also interested in how humans are taught to be dragons.

Well, the cover is attractive, the review is a great one. As for now, i will pass as i am not into historical fantasy. But one thing worth considering, the discussion is on transatlantic trade and nations had to contend with its discriminating nature.

Based on the review I definitely want to read this book. I love reading the sci-fi/fantasy genre. It is more exciting because it is about dragons. I can't wait to give the book a chance.

The cover is engaging. The story is intriguing. A dragon-shifting female lead. Win, win, win. As a Pygmy, I’m happy anytime one of my kind can one-up the “big people”. Fantastic review.

The intrigue begins from the book cover. Pip sounds like an interesting character. Thanks to the author for giving this intriguing book free on OBC.

I used to enjoy fantasy fiction when I was younger, so I'm sure I would love that book back then. This period of my life I enjoy different genres more. Yet, I hope this trilogy will become worldwide famous so I can watch it as a movie!

The plot of this book seems like a soft commentary on the colonization of America. I say this because the Pygmy people were trapped by "big people" and had a darker complexion, which is very similar to the way Native Americans were perceived by Spanish pirates. I don't know if the author intended to write a story that paralleled the colonization of America, but that was the first thing this plot reminded me of. I think this story would be a fun addition to my classroom library, as it could speak to social and emotional issues of being different through the safety of a fictional character. Thanks for the review!
