30th Century: Escape: General Audience Edition by Mark Kingston Levin, PhD kept my interest with his good story. The book is full of unexpected twists, adventures and dangers. The main heroine faces many and different trials from which she can learn and grow up as a person. She understands how fragile life is, and learns to live it according to her understanding and desires. I liked the fact that Jennifer did not allow public opinion to dictate her way of life.
Jennifer accepts her bisexuality and convinces her boyfriend to accept her and to experiment with her. She manages to keep herself calm in difficult and dangerous situations, she is ready to sacrifice herself for the people she loves and keeps many secrets, which in her case is inevitable. The setting and the island were described very good, the people in the story developed in different ways.
Jennifer is a very brave, energetic, smart, determined and loving person. At the beginning of the story, she is quite depressed by the complex situation with the inevitable loss of her loved ones, but at the end of the story she finds her happiness in her new family. Many people come to help her in difficult moments, they accept her unreservedly and she manage to get close to them, despite her strange story of amnesia. Jennifer is lucky with such good friends. She creates many friendships that grow into something much more with the development of the story. It is not easy to deal with time travel, but Jennifer gradually managed to fit in and to triumph.
Her boyfriend Marty is quite interesting. I admire him for his strength that not only managed to overcome his fears, but also to change himself in order to make Jennifer happy. Marty is a sensitive, intelligent, brave and strong. He has full confidence in Jennifer and can admit and accept his mistakes. At first he is not sure whether their relationship has a future because of his children who must comply and the painful past, but together they managed to cope with the difficulties and find happiness. I liked the fact that for him his children were the first, if all the parents thought this way, our world would be better.
In conclusion, I am rating 30th Century: Escape: General Audience Edition 4 out of 4 stars. I gave 4 stars because the book is well-written. It was professionally edited and flawless. The book is suitable for adult readers who like fiction.
