We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was written by Matthew Tysz, it is a fantasy book set in a different world, it reminds me of Game Of Thrones. King Wilhelm’s sons fight each other to to see who will get the throne when he dies, instead of them fighting for the throne King Wilhelm gives his four sons each their own Kingdom to run.

Galen is a young adult in this story, he gets papers saying his great uncle who has passed and has never met wants him to run his business as a swordsmith in the city of Voulhire the main kingdom he is a likeable character in the fact that in his own kingdom as a child his own place where he lived there was a war going on so he wanted to get out of that situation and get somewhere and fast. He is a shy person because of course he’s moving to a new city.

He meets another person about his age by the name of Rowen who happens to be the accessor to Galen’s great uncle who was looking for him he quickly shows him how to get around and also helps him with the business, he gives Galen all the money his great uncle left for him to live off of while he worked the shop. He tells Galen of his long process of being able to get him there so he is determined to get him, Rowen has a funny sense of humor when he gets to talking about himself and how he got to where is and that’s what I like about him is that he is serious and can be funny when he wants to be.

Eldus Alderman is appointed lord by King Wilhelm to see the kingdom of Hillport is put back in order because this kingdom has a dark secret after two other lords have died in the last year which makes this very interesting because it makes you wonder if the king knows what’s going on at Hillport and if he is putting everyone he knows in danger, Eldus is trying to help out his friend in King Wilhelm put this kingdom back to order after everything that has happened to this community having to go through what they have been through.

The book was a little slow at the beginning because it went through everyone’s story which is under stable because we need to get with the characters as a whole as they go into their new lives and what the journey will bring them. All the characters were developed really well that they each had something different and each had their own problems to deal with.

This has a little bit of magic in the book which is exactly like Harry Potter along with the theme of Game Of Thrones this book is not intended to be for young readers as there is a lot of cussing and graphic scenes this is more of an adult book in my eyes than it would be for young adults I will give We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Stars a 4/4 as I enjoyed this book very much and I didn’t want this book to end and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
