Thanks for your review, I like that the author used humor more often than is the norm for sci-fi. That the author added an unique twist to a often used plot is an added bonus.

It seems like the book has different themes, and I thought that the main character had a difficult time but then I see that humor has been included in the story. I'm curious to find out this unanticipated ending.

By the review the book seems to be interesting to spend my weekend with. Review elaborates the Sci fic in a humorous style of writing which is appealing to many including me.

Who doesn't wish they could see a loved one again after they die? This book sounds really interesting and I love twist endings!
Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

Science and Phantasm. As a Chemist, I want to know if Lisa will believe in ghosts when they go to the haunted cafeteria. I guess I need to finish reading this fiction novel.

Big things are happening for Mark Scottsdale. He has just graduated from college and is looking forward to starting a new life with his childhood friend and longtime girlfriend, Lisa. So when an old classmate of his offers him a high-paying job working for a new research facility, Mark jumps at the opportunity.

However, all of his dreams come to an abrupt end when Lisa is taken from him by a drunk driver. Distraught and devoid of a reason to live, Mark contemplates suicide. However, before following through on his dark thoughts, Mark has an epiphany: if he could gain access to his company's secret Flicker World project, he just might be able to see his beloved Lisa again after all.

I don't like SciFi so much. I watch some movies but I never read SciFi books. So, initially I intended to pass on this one. However, I decided to read a little bit from the free sample just out of curiosity. And I got caught. I just kept reading. It's a really interesting story. The plot is intriguing, the story flows easily and it's packed with humor. I didn't noticed how I swallowed all those sample pages and now I am looking for more. So, I definitely recommend this book to others as a nice entertaining reading with some suspense in it as well. And I'm definitely going to buy this book. Great experience!

This sounds interesting and I would definitely give this book a read. The idea of finding a way to see our loved ones that have passed makes for a fascinating read. And I'm sure the humor and unique writing style mentioned by the reviewer, makes up for the lack originality.
