Zelspar and the Magicians by Cheryl Rush Cowperthwait present a mind capturing book focused on a fantasy world embedded in an environment of magic landscapes. The book provides the reader with an insight into a world of dark and good magic while attempting to find the balance between the two worlds. Zelspar the dragon attempts to provide support to the chief magician called Perthorn to overcome the dark magic approach displayed by Flegmorr. My most favourite character stays Zelspar who I loved reading about. I enjoyed his personality and relationships with the other characters described in the book. The material allows a reader to remove themselves from the now and experience another world presentable of magic characters.
Perthorn's assistant and a student named Kiel offers support during the battle of overcoming the bad magic that threatens to overcome the good. The book aims to describe a world comprised of challenges, complexities and threats. It presents an extremely well-explained fantasy world of dragons combined with master magicians.
The well-known and experienced Perthorn attempts to find a way to protect Urth, its residences and the book of life. Besides, Zelspar plays an intrinsic role throughout the book by experiencing diverse challenges to protect himself and provide support to the magicians. I also find the description of Flegmorr extremely interesting. One can actually feel the darkness when reading the book. I find the description of the dark magic environment exceptionally well. It allows the reader to develop an understanding played between the two world characters explained in the fantasy book.
The book presents good reading material to all ages as long as you consist of an interest in fantasy, dragons and magicians. I think the book carries the most interesting message embedded in the writing explaining the challenges humankind faces daily. The different challenges discussed one can easily relate to modern-day episodes, emotions and events. I conclude that the book captures your mind and the reader continues to wonder what may happen next. The reading material continues to stay focused and prevents from presenting an overcomplicated storyline that one finds difficult to read.
I give the book a 4 out of 4 because of the excellent writing style, the ability to make a reader think beyond the obvious and the significant character description presented in the reading material. I most definitely recommend this book to all readers from different ages and found the material most inspiring to read.
