The novel book Hand Bringer by Christopher J. Penington published in 2017 by Page Publishing, Inc is the focus of the current review.

Christopher tells a story of a policeman Peter Hadrian whose son went missing and the wife was killed while on a work shift with his colleagues received a dispatch call that some of their men were in trouble.

It seems to me that his superior who happened to be a doctor had set him up at the raid where some of his fellows got killed to get injured in the process and be sent to the hospital so could infect him with an anti-vampire virus, parasites.

As after he was treated at the military hospital by the doctor, a lady was sent to Peter and pretended to have a crush on him.

This was done to see if what the doctor had injected him with had worked and hence the lady was expected to get intimate with him so he could infect her I turn as well. She approached Peter on the claim that she knew where his son was.

The doctor reasoned that he infected Peter with the parasites as it would allow the host to deal with vampire antics on the mission he was going to be assigned on.

Travelling back in time was at the forefront of the mission and the anti-vampire experiment.

A lady watched Peter for many years finally told him how she witnessed him grow and build a family. This reminded of the vampire diaries when Stephen Salvatore watched Elena for years before he could finally talk to her.

Travelling back in time involved going to Romania where Peter became a knight. There they and his soldiers fought while they were in the kingdom of Dracula.

Battles had to go on from one territory to the other and this meant calling for the company of someone from the community to lead them to the right directions and know where the enemy was. The battle carried onto the Castle Fagaras and Boravic had to accompany them.

A lady who once spoke to Peter was found drowning, and he had to be the one to save her. Peter saw her on time and saved her.

Nothing was good in the land where Boriana and others were and Marin warned them that it was righteous to live any longer, they must leave within the time they still had left with.

Strong powers are what drove the mission in the first place, thus Deycheaba a woman who lived during the Roman Empire and wanted to come to life before the Roman Empire ended and only came to life after the fall of the empire was in the land Fragas and this was not good for anyone. Deycheaba resurfaced and peter had to face her but took off again.

The doctor who infected Peter with the virus wanted him dead even more when he knew Peter was with Boriana. Constant searches became a norm to Peter and his group. They all wanted to find Deycheabe as she posed more danger than the others.

Most of the ruthless rulers in the land had descents of Turkey and that did not seem right to the people. Thus, as knight leader, he addressed the soldiers and told them not to wait for the enemies to come to them and take cities such as Bucharest from them.

The lady who was assigned to see the experiment with Peter had worked, Elizabeth liked the idea of immortality; living forever. They won the battle against the Turks. But many lives of their soldiers were lost in the process.

The notable discoveries from the mission to Romania by Peter and his companions were that Vlad and Deycheaba, were powerless without one another, and Kolemis infected Elizabeth and was brought back to life by the scientists. The former is relatable to the vampire diaries show as when a vampire did not feed on blood, it became powerless.

The story plot is well in events sequence and this is what i liked most about the book. What i least liked about it, however, is that the title of the book vaguely speaks to the contents. But overall, the book is edited well and hence, I rate it 4 out of 4 because it is well-edited and I recommend it to vampire diaries lovers.
