Trinity’s Fall is an original science fiction novel about an alien invasion to Earth, the advance Vu-Hak race has the politics of exterminate any sentience specie that their perceive as a treat or future treat, in this case the human specie. The Vu-Hak renounce at their biological bodies then are able to invade the body of human beings and generally use mechanical body, which require a Artificial Intelligence to operate it.

The main character, Dr Kate Morgan, will go from trying to understand what is happening to seeking ways to keep the Vu-Hak to achieve their goal of exterminate humanity. She and her friends will go a journey from the USA to Australia to Antarctic, and even the moon in the search to stop the future genocide. This enterprise probed to be hard, the enemy not only has a more advance technology but also can read your mind. Trinity’s Fall is the second book in a trilogy written by P.A. Vasey, but the novel can be read without reading the first novel.

I feel compelled to give this book full marks, four stars out of four stars, and certainly I will recommend Trinity’s Fall to others readers. The book has the achievement of be original, it brings news ideas on the alien invasion theme, an already over exploited subject. Furthermore, the twist of the plot are impressible and clever, which helps keep the reader interest. The protagonist not only is credible but shows real moments of human incertitude, this traits draw a deep portrait of the mean character. The public of Trinity’s Fall will be young adult science fiction readers, the fact that the book does not use heavy science made it more approachable to young readers.

One mistake in the plot is that is suggested that the FBI can work outside the USA soils, which is of course completely inaccurate even in openly friendly countries as Australia, this detail is not grave but contract with the above excellent performance of the book. Only one twist in the plot gave me an unsavory aftertaste, it is when the way the Vu-Hak use of their mechanical bodies change abruptly, in my opinion this change is too radical to be use superficially.

Finally, it calls my attention the lack of diversity in the book, in multicultural countries like the USA and Australia where the majority of the action happens, it is bizarre to have this homogeneous population. Even two of the minorities personages, one Hispanic and one Asian, become faster victim of Vu-Kah possession and betray the human counterpart.
