My mind is completely blown. I have not read a book so amazing and captivating as this in a long time. Massive kudos to WM. A. Yandell for a wonderful book I am proud to have on my shelf. The author mentioned, in the book's description while selecting it for review, his interested in knowing if there are any errors, I can say I noticed none, and the book is next to perfect in that regard.

Containment Breach by WM. A. Yandell starts out with a failed space experiment. The Creatures, as they were called for the most part of the book, have organized a deliberate attack to wipe out every human on the space station and have somehow found a way to Earth thus threatening humanity. In a bid to stop this, General Tallen and Bush, the leader of an elite military called the troopers, are tasked with finding a scientific team to help devise a way to eradicate these creatures. Dr. Smithon and his team were chosen for this mission not because of the similarities of their work to the Creatures in space but also because the Creatures creator was Smithon's mentor who is now 'missing'. Things do not go well for Smithon as he has to hide his own creatures, the Zayans, who are similar to the ones he and his team have been asked to kill and at the same time uncover what happened to his mentor, Zayack, and why the creatures are determined to humans.

Despite the captivating nature of the book, there were aspects I didn't really like. The author made use of asterisk to indicate the end of a chapter. This was confusing at first, it's a relatively new approach to me. The earlier parts of the book were kind of a drag, it took a lot of patience for me to get through those parts. I understand the author was trying to establish the situation his characters were in but it could be a deterrent that stops people from finishing the book. That's just my opinion though.

I enjoyed the author's articulation and writing, it shows a deep command of English vocabulary. The book was next to flawless regarding editing. And the plot was amazing. It blew my mind. The book is filled with so many twists and was a roller coaster of emotions. I couldn't, for one moment, predict what the next page would unfold. The steady pace adopted by the author was evident in his character development and ensured readers savored the moment while relating to each character. For example, Dr. Smithon depicted a knowledgeable thinker while Dr. Jack, his colleague, portrayed a jovial yet smart family guy.

I cannot give this book anything less than a 4 out of 4 stars rating. I am very sure any sci-fi novel lover would enjoy this book and agree with my rating. The book is appropriate for all to read because no profane words we're used, very little graphic content, and it's in no way bias to one religion. I hope future readers enjoy it as much as I did and I look forward to reading more of WM. A. Yandell's book.
