Containment Breach is a science fiction book written by WM. A. Yandell. Demetrius Zayack, a scientist, has made a great discovery by creating live forms in a laboratory, and later disappears without any trace. Dr. Walt Smithton, a young scientist, finds himself following in Zayack’s footsteps. He creates live forms in the orb to level four, and is expected to report in case he develops them beyond this level. Without reporting, he develops them beyond level four, and makes a great discovery which he keeps secret. The creatures Zayack created were taken to a station in space and are now causing havoc. The World Alliance Intelligence Division is on a mission to contain these creatures and ensure that they do not reach planet Earth as they are now killing humans. Will Dr. Walt Smithton’s secret be discovered?

What I enjoyed the most about this book was Dr. Smithton’s thoughts especially where he was expected to report if he developed the live forms beyond the initial level four. He reckons that, “the problem is, they do not know what is beyond initial level four. They do not know what to watch for even if they were watching and saw it.” Dr. Smithton makes this book very interesting and I enjoyed his encounter with unexpected twists.

What I did not enjoy at all in this book was the type of death human beings at the space station had to undergo at the mercy of Zayack’s creatures. These creatures were out to kill humans, and they did it with a vengeance. The level of torture was too much to imagine.

This book has 331 pages. It is written in the first and third-person perspective. The formatting is well done and the story flows as there are no gaps. The book is easy to read though it has minor errors that do not take away from the plot. The characters in this book are well-developed and fleshed out. Having enjoyed the book, the much I did, I am left with no option to choose any other rating apart from 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this awesome book to those who enjoy reading books in the science fiction genre. It would also be appreciated by those who want a quick and interesting read. Those who enjoy investigative reads would also like it. This book does not have erotic scenes but has gory ones that come across as mild. I did not come across any content that would be referred to as profanity.
