Peter is attacked and injected with senjite (vampire’s blood) while responding to a dispatcher’s call. He is airlifted for treatment at the Apocalypse Suppression Administration (ASA) headquarters. He recently lost his wife and only son.

ASA is working on a Blue Project that aims to eradicate vampirism that broke out in Romania causing havoc. This program is under the stewardship of General Oliver who recruits Doctor Chester Kolemis. This project can only be a success should someone travel to the past. Hadrian Peter accepts the offer as this would dispense an opportunity to save his son, Steve. Luke (Peter’s friend), Bat, Kolemis, Scott, and Peter set out to the medieval ages.

Hadrian had been inoculated with preeminent antibodies. This makes him a “super-human” hence cannot be infected with vampirism. Out in Romania, in the 15th century, the Turks under Prince Basarab, Wallachians led by Vlad Dracula, and Moldavian steered by Prince Stefan are in constant warfare. Dracula’s assuages himself by drinking blood from strigoi (vampires). He itches to control the entire region. Meanwhile, Peter’s crew but Kolemis aligns itself with Prince Stefan. The Turks too affiliate with Stefan. The alliance’s obligato is to annihilate Dracula who has allied with Deycheaba (a tormented woman with powerful vampirism).

Christopher J. Penington tells the story in the third person. As the war ensued, the vampires inflicted wounds on their victims who would die and resurrect on the fourth day (as vampires). The Hand Bringer (Peter) led his weeny, valiant, and organized army against a humongous shambled and disaccorded Dracula’s army. And as fate would have it, there is power in order.

I was thrilled by this fast-paced fictional piece. The Hand Bringer is full of humor. At one point, I experienced hysteria only for Bat and Luke to make the moment comical and amusing. There was a mess of twists in the book. The character development was also top-notch. I fell in love with Bat due to his mirthful ways. I never anticipated he was an undercover agent of the FBI. These twists and humor are what I loved most about this book. At some point, I was sad to realize that the doctor had ulterior motives right from the start of the mission.

There is nothing I did not like about this book. Being my debut science-fiction piece, my love for this genre of books has augmented. It was professionally edited as I noted very minor grammatical errors. I savored everything about it. The profane phrases and erotic scenes portrayed made this book immensely swell. I am glad to rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to all science-fiction lovers. Historians will find it engraving. However, the explicit sexual scenes and vulgar language make it unfit for children.

I've also read this book. I like that it's an all in one book. Nice review.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen
