The Dark Heroine, by Abigail Gibbs, I initially started reading on Wattpad. When it was on Wattpad the original title was "Dinner with a vampire. Did I mention I'm Vegetarian?" The plot is about a vampire prince, Kasper, and a female character named Violet Lee. The two meet during an unfortunate event that Violet witnesses, and because she is a witness; Violet is kidnapped by the prince and his companions. Each of the characters have a very influential part in their roles cast in the plot. Despite abuse and torment she becomes attached to her kidnapper, and it seems as though, at first Violet is suffering from Stockholms Syndrome. After a while, however, it becomes clear that this life event has been in the making since the beginning of Violets life, and Violet is not just an average human. Her purpose in the vampire world is much more than just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She is meant to save them all. She is meant to, ultimately, save two races. The question is can she do it? This is the first book in the series, and I could not stop reading once I started. This book can stir some controversy as well, and well; who doesn't like a little controversy?
It was a wonderful story with heartfelt moments, some unforgettable lines, and plot that only thickens! This is a must read for young adults.
