Galen Bray explores the industrial city of Virko and develops more interest in Voulhire because of the astonishing things he sees. Unknown to him, there is an immense darkness that inhabits the home of the lord of Virko; what will Galen do about it? Will he save Virko or ruin it?

We are Voulhire: The Fires of Virko is the second book of the We are Voulhire series. Matthew Tysz is the author of this exceptional science fiction; he claims this series will have a total of nine books. The prevailing themes of this book are: war, destruction, politics, power, love, and death.

This story continues where the first book left off; it is based solely on the industrial city of Virko and its people. The author introduces new characters and makes the plot even more arresting. Although various people keep showing up, this story still arouses interest. The plot unravels smoothly, and there is no confusion at any point in this book. I also appreciate the suspense in its pages; at some point, it becomes difficult to drop it. Additionally, the comic relief present in the storyline helps ease the gloomy nature of the plot. The plot is fast-paced, and this ensures there is no dull moment while reading this book.

Profanities repeatedly appear in this book, so people not contented with this should consider it. I did not encounter any error while reading, so I can strongly infer that a professional thoroughly proofread and edited it. There are scenarios where a gay relationship is uncovered in this book; people not pleased with this might want to skip it. This novel cannot be read as a standalone because it is a continuation of the first book in this series; the beginning and ending are abrupt and sudden. They might not make much sense to someone who did not read the first book. There is nothing I dislike about this novel; I enjoyed following every bit of it.

We are Voulhire: The Fires of Virko is the second book in the series, and it is solely about the city of Virko and its people. Galen and his friends visit the city and discover that behind its beauty lies a darkness great enough to conquer it. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I enjoyed reading it, and did not detect any fault in it. It is sensational and makes for a suitable book to read when trying to relax. I would like to see the author improve on the endings; they should be more established and conclusive. I recommend this book to lovers of science fiction with a unique touch to it.

I hope Galen is able to save Virko, and if he didn't I hope he saved himself and his friends.

Thank you for your review. The endings in this series are really poor although it has a really interesting body. I hope Galen is able to save Virko too
