Hello,
This book is about how the Grimm brothers and their descendants told lies about the fairy tale characters, and rewrote them to how they saw it. However the fairytale characters are real, and the grimm brothers and thier descendants have trapped them within their dreams, and so once every hundred years they are awakened. The evil fairytale characters seek revenge and a way to take over while the good fairytale characters seek to tell the real world about the lies the grimms have told over the years. And so thats where the diaries come in to play . From diaries written in the pov of some of the most memorable fairytale characters in history ,this tale by Cameron Jace weaves the stories we once new as children into a totally new and refreshing tale.
i came upon this book on kindle for free, because I like the different adaptations of fairy tales. At first i thought it was going to be the same as any other Ya fairy tale book out , but it was surprisingly different. At first it was kind of slow and their were too many onomatopoeia's that to me slowed the story down at times. But i loved how he gave even the secondary characters, and characters we never would imagine being in a fairy tale a pov . We get to see what they are thinking, and why they play an important role into the story. I love his usage of epistolary novel format . And in my opinion he explored it perfectly. Well i have to say out of most free kindle books this book did wonders for me, intrigued and entranced me to continue the series.
