We Are Voulhire:A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a science fiction novel which is absolutely amazing and addictive. The story begins with our main character Galen Bray, a young refugee who fled his home which was torn between civil war and ruin in Hope of finding a better life in advanced and powerful Kingdom of Voulhire.
The writer has created a great plot for this fictional country by empowering its diverse cultures and political issues which are both so distinct yet so predictable as experienced in the real world. It makes the story more impactful and of course, brings it to life. issues like caste system, war, religion, social disparities something that is common in the real world has been introduced in such a good way that it's hard not to lose your touch with the reality.

The one thing that I loved the most about this novel is the clean switches between the point of views of the characters. In the beginning, it may get very confusing as i experienced it to because I am a very impatient person when it comes to stories, but in the further process the scattered pieces come together to form what the beauty of this story actually is and it was worth waiting for.
The kingdom of Voulhire described gives us a utopian perfection as well as a darker more ugly sides to it like every civilization has. which makes the reader feel the tension and suspense that our characters are going through. Similarly, the fun and adventures of life experienced by Galen in his innocence and youthfulness is something very warm to read which makes him very relatable.

I rate this 4 out of 4 stars because I thought it was an exceptional novel with an interesting concept. I'd like to read its next sequel ASAP.!
I don't recommend this book to younger people due to mentions of paedophilia, graphic violence and mild cuss words, however, it is perfect for audiences above 13 years of age and well anyone else who craves thrill and fantasy.
Thank you for reading!
