We are Voulhire: The Fires of Virko by Matthew Tysz is the second installment in the series We are Voulhire. Magic, religion and science are powerful aspects in Virko and they affect Virko in various ways. Galen is trying to perfect his blacksmithing skills. The mayor of Magnum Caelum seeks galen's assistance to help improve the iron trade. Galen, Demetrius and Rowen go to Virko in search of iron. Kayden an old friend of Demetrius sends them to the Lord of Virko to get the help they need. The Lord asks Demetrius for a favour. What favour does the Lord need? Meldorath also has an interesting plan. Will he succeed? You will need to grab a copy of this book to find the answers.

I loved the storyline of this novel. Tysz has a unique and great writing style. The mystery, intense suspense and not being able to predict how the events will unfold makes this book very exciting to read. The plot in this story just keeps getting crazy in an intriguing manner. I also loved how the book has different character's views. The scenes are perfectly crafted and well-developed. Each character is perfectly suited to their role which is a proof that the author is a brilliant thinker.

I loved Demetrius a young monk who is brave and very determined. I loved the way he confronts the demon in Redenhide. The friendship bond between Demetrius, Galen and Rowen is great. How Galen and Rowan support Demetrius when he needs them the most even if it is dangerous shows how strong their bond is. Kayden and Folcro are also characters that kept me glued to this story. I loved how both are strong and weak in their own capacities.

This book is absolutely remarkable. There is nothing I did not like about this book. The book is perfectly edit as I came across minimal errors which do not affect the reading experience of this book. I rate We are Voulhire: The fires of Virko by Matthew Tysz 4 out of 4stars.

I would recommend this book to lovers of fantasy and action. This being a second book of a series I would recommend reading the first book so as to understand the plots and characters perfectly. There are instances of profane words and violence in this book if you are affected by profanity and violence then you will not enjoy this novel. This book is a great treat for people who enjoy mystery and suspense. I enjoyed reading this book. It is so captivating.
