Official Review: Killers, Demigods, and Satan's Zombie Ho...
Killers, Demigods, and Satan’s Zombie Horde by R.S. Jinks is a science fiction novel.
Characters:
• Will Walker
• Greg Frost
• Satan (the devil)
The Plot:
Will Walker's life is forever changed when he is visited by the devil himself in the middle of the night. The devil says that he thinks that Will is the perfect person for what he is about to do, and to do so he offers Will the power to warp reality to what he sees fit. Will takes advantage of this power to change his life for the better.
As Will is exploring and learning about his new power, the devil visits him once again. He says that he is going to "flood" the earth , just as god did, but not an average flood. Will goes into the future to find that this "flood" is actually the zombie apocalypse. Will must now use his powers to save humanity from the deadly zombies.
Later on while Will is trying to save everyone that he possibly can, the devil wants to start some problems and get in Will's way. He gives another person, Greg Frost, the same power that Will has. The only difference is that Greg wants the world to end, and Will wants to save it. Both Greg and Will are now caught in a major battle over whether humanity will end or will be saved.
My Review:
I thought that this was a good book to read. The story was interesting and suspenseful and also left you satisfied and concluded itself nicely, it didn't leave you hanging.
Even though the book was good, there were some things that brought down the potential of the book. I thought that the story was very rushed, especially the beginning, which made the story hard to follow. I also thought that the book didn't have enough detail, possibly caused by the very fast pace of the story. The lack of detail didn't affect the story too much, but the book would have been better had there been more detail to the story. The beginning was also very plain and boring, in my opinion. It didn't have a strong hook to pull the reader in, and made the story look boring at first glance. This is resolved in the second chapter.
Overall, I would say it is a very good book. My rating is three out of four stars.
