Shutdown Review by Abigail Warschauer:

Shutdown by Heather Anastasiu is the third and final story in the Glitch trilogy. This last installment is definitely one worth waiting for. It has the perfect balance of twists, thrills and romance.
Zoe is now the leader of the Resistance even though she doesn’t think she’s worthy of the job. Over and over again something bad happens and she always seems to be the source of it. Nothing tends to go her way.
She has to lead an entire resistance, and try to accept this new Adrien. He lives in Adrien’s body, but he isn’t the boy he used to be. Will he ever be himself again? The odds of that are almost zero to one. This is one of the most heartbreaking facts Zoe must face throughout the story. She may never be with the boy she loves again.
While dealing with this form of Adrien more problems arise. The Chancellor is alive and thriving. She’s anticipating each move Zoe will make while moving up in the government. She even has someone Zoe loves held captive which worries her daily. How the Chancellor will be defeated is a question Zoe isn’t sure how to answer.
Each step she takes is a frightful one. Adrien’s visions prove that she will either win and survive or fail and die. It’s hard for her to face such an outcome and her team’s continuous doubting doesn’t help either. She hasn’t truly lived up to their expectations, and her ability to lead them is questioned regularly.
Will anything go right for her?
I found Shutdown to be the most captivating book I have ever read! Each page had me screaming “yes,” then, “no.” It always kept me on edge with that same gut feeling that maybe something good is happening beneath the bad. It’s a great ending to the trilogy and I’m more than happy to recommend it!
