Virko is the heart of Voulhire’s economy. It is characterized by castles, factories, and a building called rendenhide, which was the only building in Virko before Lord Venden and his family settled and built the city out of nothing. Galen Bray and his companions, Rowan and Demetrius, arrived in Virko in search of capital for Galen’s blacksmith trade back in Magnum Caelum. They were lucky to meet Lord Venden, who happened to know Galen’s uncle. He granted their request, but in return, asked that his castle be cleansed of the demons that his son, Hans, had been acquainted. This trio is set to find the demon with Venden's map, which exposes them to so many discoveries. Will finding these demons be worth the risk?

We are Voulhire: the fires of Virko by Matthew Tysz is the second book in the We are Voulhire series. It is written from different perspectives. Every chapter introduces a new perspective on the story. Galen Bray’s perspective is written in the first person, and every other characters' perspective is in the third person. The characters were well developed. I particularly loved Hans Hrelek’s and Lord Kayden’s characters. The plot was exceptional and had me hooked from the very first page.

I liked the detailed explanations of the situations surrounding every character and how every new chapter introduced a new character’s perspective. Although the constant change in perspectives may leave you slightly confused at the beginning of every chapter, you’ll get to connect the dots as you read on. The author did a very good job of naming the chapters, giving the reader an insight into what and who to expect in every chapter. What I enjoyed most about this book were the dialogues. They were exceptional and made me want to read on. I particularly loved conversations between Galen, Rowan, and Demetrius. I looked forward to those conversations whenever they moved from being the major focus of the book.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. It was suspense-filled, and even though new chapters had me confused at some points, I got to connect the dots and most times had my suspicions confirmed. It made reading even more interesting, and the book flowed easily.

Without a second thought, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I loved everything about it, and there’s nothing I would change if I were given a chance to. The book is perfect. I found no grammatical or punctuation errors. I recommend this book to anyone that has even the slightest interest in sci-fi stories relating to the supernatural. This book contained a lot of violence and graphic scenes, so it’s not for highly sensitive readers, as it may be too upsetting.

Thanks for your engaging review. I enjoy the trio's conversation, too. It's quite hilarious hearing their banters, especially the sarcasm between Rowan and Demetrius.
