The fictional world always attracted us towards themselves with the endless possibilities that can happen. Such a book that I came across recently is We Are Voulhire: The Fires of Virko. It's the second book in the We Are Voulhire series by Matthew Tsyz. This book has always enticed me with its amazing plotline and unpredictable ending. This series always makes me want to explore it more and, when I got the chance to review the book, I just could not let it go. The story is a feast for fiction lovers and takes you on an adventure-filled journey that leaves you wanting more.

The story starts with King Wilhelm Arcolo deciding to take the city of Virko and make it fall under his leadership. Galen Bray, along with his companions Rowan and Demetrius, decides to go to Vikro to ask for help as he runs short of iron supply. Lord Venden, the founder and current ruler of Virko, is sick and dying. He in return for helping Galen asks for his help. We come to know about the secrets that the beautiful place holds inside itself. Sometimes beautiful things hold the ugliest face.

The second part of the series gives us more insight into Voulhire and its people. I found the first part of the series confusing but, the moment I started with this book, everything became clear. We are introduced to many new characters which, makes the story intriguing. The most compulsive part is how well the author builds up the suspense. I was not able to put the book down as the plot progressed.

I loved how the characters have progressed along with the story. It makes them easy to relate with. I was enchanted by the way the author paints the scenes with words. The sarcasm and witty comebacks from the characters are always amusing. The friendship that grows between them is the cherry on the cake. I would recommend you to read the first book in the series before reading this book.

I find absolutely nothing to dislike in the book. The book is very well edited. I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for its immersive storytelling. The story grips you till the end and keeps you captivated. I would recommend this story to readers above the age of 14 due to some gory scenes. The book is a great read. It wouldn't disappoint you.
