We Are Voulhire: The Knights of Chalethire by Matthew Tysz is the fourth book in this series. This book picks up right where the third book left off. The kingdom is still in disarray, and there are external and internal forces keen to take what they believe is theirs. However, this story brings into focus a fighting force that was unseen in the previous novels. The Knights of Chalethire originate in a city that is emerging into a dominant force within the region in light of the destruction that ensued in the previous novel. These knights are eager on conquering all they can during the chaos that is ensuing within their world. Around this chaos, a wonderful story is told that will keep the reader engaged throughout the entire book.

Many positives can be stated about this book. First, the author is great at engaging the reader with suspense and foreboding that keeps you hooked on the story. Second, the battles that ensue in this novel are thrilling. Each battle is seen from a different character’s point of view and that makes the story enjoyable to read. Lastly, the author does a good job in setting up the next novel with multiple forewarnings that will only be answered in subsequent novels.

I have enjoyed reading this series of books, and again I find little negatives to point out. However, I enjoy reading the battles and, as always, wish they lasted longer in the book. This is just a preference that I desire. Thus, it may only be a negative from my point of view.

I rate this book with 4 out of 4 stars. First, this book was exceptionally well-edited. Second, the author does a great job of captivating the audience by how descriptive he is in telling the stories. Lastly, I personally love the protagonists in this book. The author has developed these characters since the first book of the series. These developments have enticed me to want to keep reading to see how they develop further in their friendship and how they will continue to do good in this new world.

I would recommend We Are Voulhire: The Knights of Chalethire to all readers. Especially for the readers who enjoy a long, engaging series. However, I would recommend that readers would start the series with the first book, and not this one. There is some sexual content in this book. However, there is not enough to prevent anyone from reading it.
