Did anyone else enjoy this book as much as I did? It was on the best seller list so she must be rather well known. I picked this up out of curiosity one day and I was hooked. But how to describe it to someone else? The narrator is a fish-like creature with an incredibly expressive face. Simple dog and helper dog are my favorites...
f'rinstance, one of the dogs pukes and having only a few brain cells comes to the conclusion that magically it has learned to make MORE food.
It's a cartoon but the narrator covers a depressive episode very openly, so it becomes quite serious indeed, but not really sad...just matter of factly...Like having dogs that are dumb as rocks. This is a really enjoyable book for those of us who share a quirky somewhat twisted understanding of life.
