We Are Voulhire: The Fires of Virko is the second book of the We Are Voulhire series written by Matthew Tysz. The series is a fantasy series enriched with a great storyline, lots of characters, magic, demon, and so on. From the beginning of the story, the writer started showing the disturbing political situation of Voulhire. Though Voulhire was ruled by a powerful king, it was not possible to look after every single incident happening in every corner of the country. So the enemies were gathering support and strength to achieve their goals while they were hiding.

This book introduces some new characters such as Folcro, Cornelius, lord Kayden, and many others. The character Folcro plays an important role in the book. He is shown as a person who knows dark magic and bound a demon in his own house to achieve power through the demon's magical power. The main character of the book, Galen Bray meets Folcros father Lord Venden to ask for a favor for his town, Magnum Caelum. In return, Lord Venden also asked for a favor from Galen. He requested the monk Demetrius, who was working under Galen, to find out a way to remove the demon from the house. He believed that this will help his son to change. The adventure to stop the demon starts at that very moment. Not only a Demon, but they were fighting with a lot of obstacles also because of Folcro's high social status.

The story is very adventurous and thrilling. There are evil people with evil intentions and also good people with good intentions in Voulhire. The character of Demetrius is noteworthy. He represents patience and determination at the same time. He is also very wise and thoughtful, which makes his personality admirable. The main character of the book, Galen Bray, also maintains a strong personality. He once lived in another country and went through a lot of sufferings which made him more matured than many characters present in the story. The characters of the story are very well built. The history of every character made the story more interesting. The writer built the fantasy world very thoughtfully. His writing style helped to visualize the story a lot.

The book is very well written and well edited as well. There was no noticeable mistake in typing. There was nothing at all that I disliked about this book. The mystery was unfolding little by little, which kept me reading. I enjoyed reading this book, and I would love to read the other books of this series very soon.

As I liked this book so much, I gladly score it a 4 out of 4. It is a well-deserved full score. I recommend this book to adventure and fantasy lovers. But I would not like to recommend this book to children and sensitive people. Because this book contains some mature contents, which are not suitable for such kind of people. Otherwise, this is a great book. Fantasy lovers should give it a try, and it will be worth trying.
