The book, Fish Wielder, takes place in the lands of Grome. Three companions: Thoral, Warlordhorse, and Bradfast, are adventurers traveling Grome to complete quests. However, along the way, they meet an Elven king and princess who require the three adventurers to set out on a quest to save Grome from an old enemy. Things are not as they seem, and the past comes back with a vengeance. As the companions' journey, they encounter many challenges along the way. However, they also make some unlikely allies along the way. Defeat and failure seem inevitable as the odds stack up against them. Will they become victorious, or is the future of Grome doomed?

J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison has managed to create a fantastic world filled with colorful characters, nail-biting adventures, and plenty of humorous moments. This book is lighthearted and fun to read. It contains action and a little romance. It is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The language used to set scenes and describe characters is brilliant. The author has managed to balance humor with moments of suspense to create silly, memorable moments in the book. I may have learned a new word or two, and I took my time savoring this book.

This book was a delight to read. Finding negative aspects of the book proved to be a challenge. There were a few mistakes in the book although, they did not detract from the overall enjoyment that the book provided book. My only negative would be that the book ended too soon. There doesn't seem to be a sequel looming around yet. Hopefully, there will be one in the future. I would enjoy learning what happens to the main characters next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was incredibly sad when I finished it. I would give it more than 4 out of 4 stars if it were possible. It was well edited but did contain the occasional rare mistake. I would recommend this book to any fellow adventure seeker who enjoys a story. This book is not unlike a Terry Pratchett novel with Lord of the Rings or Eragon elements.

This book is suitable for a broad audience, including teenagers and octogenarians. There are some gruesome and gory scenes described in the book that can make a person squeamish. However, these scenes are often comical in their description. There is some borderline profane language.
