When I first read the first Dark Star book last year, I though I couldn't get enough of it. I don't like "normal" stories. And I think Ms. Frenette did a very good job keeping up my suspense. She had me on my toes the whole time, and after each event a new question formed in my head! Some things I guessed right away, but then with everything going on, I had my doubts. And sometimes, it seems like one thing, but is really the other. For example, in Burn Bright, around the middle, all of the evidence of the remnant bore down to Gideon. But then after the main character examined the hidden facts, then it made a lot more since why Gideon was so connected with the remnant without being the remnant. And the reason the person who was ACTUALLY the remnant just kind of blew me away, and all of the peices of the puzzle fell right into place.
