"We are Voulhire: A New Arrival” by Matthew Tysz is a really good book. Especially for fans of the sci-fi and fantasy realm magic. So, if one has no patience for this type of genre, or on the other hand, one doesn't want to switch on his imagination, then I would recommend staying away from this book. Moreover, there are so many names and themes running through the book and following them all is really not an easy task. However, if you can allow yourself to delve into this book, I can guarantee you an adventure that you won't regret
Basically the book revolves around three main characters: Galen Bray, King Wilhelm, and Lord Meldorath. Galen, a refugee from the battle-torn land of the Princes, views Voulhire as a country of greatness and opportunity where anything is possible. Little does he know, behind the scenes lurks a power struggle between the King and his former confidant, Lord Meldorath. Moreover, there is a rebellious organisation whose main agenda is to annihilate the kingdom is getting stronger and seems to be on the move.
Th book does not contain any typos or language errors though it does contain some vulgarism. So, a warning beforehand if you find things such as this offensive.
It is a story about an epic adventure that will leave you breathless and you will yearn for the sequel of the series. Perfect for a young adult audience, it is still a great choice for adults as well. I would rate it as 4/4 because I really enjoyed reading it.
