War Tower by Joseph Leo DeCelle is a fascinating intergalactic tale of supreme warlords, escaping rampages, and alliances between armies of the earth in order to defend their honor and their beloved planet from a race of alien invaders led by an intergalactic warlord who arrives on earth with eight wayward airships in order to escape the wrath of a high-command justice from home, with the desire to conquer and subject all earth to his will.

A fantastic part of the book is the author's masterful penmanship detailing a thrilling journey of brave fighters in space prepared to fight and defend their honor, their planet, and what they believe in against intergalactic forces from another galaxy. I found the book to be an engrossing read that allows readers to experience first-hand, the power of embracing a fighting spirit in a cruel world. This story also teaches people to be courageous, trusting, and committed to their beliefs despite any insurmountable challenge they might face along the way.

Also, the coming together of two different races, the Norsemen from the Northern part of the world and the Africans, primarily Ghanaians from the Western part of the world to unite against a familiar foe that threatened to wipe out human existence off the surface of the earth was a beautiful subplot to read as it spoke about disregarding the color of one's skin and putting one's pride aside and working together to strive and achieve a common goal to preserve the life of their people.

The beautiful way the author relates these characters to the audience along with numerous space terms used in the book (many of which I found interesting) was expertly done in a way most aren't able to accomplish. The story was fascinating and brilliant as well. This was what I liked most about the book.

What I disliked most in the book was the author's focus on just two armies and regions of the world despite the alien invaders being a threat to the whole world. It was a part I felt could have been buffed up to encompass different races of the world to properly suit the theme of the planet being in danger. It seemed like others cared less or were laid-back about the threat posed to their existence, it left me wondering if the people of the earth consisted of only the Norsemen, Ghanaians, and the inhabitants of the Wappinger village where the War Tower was situated.

Despite that and owing to the beautiful, riveting, and interesting space battle between good and bad warlords alike and brave warriors, I would rate the book, War Tower by Joseph Leo DeCelle, 4 out of 4 stars. It was professionally edited as I could only notice one error in the book.

I recommend this book to readers and lovers of thrillers, adventurous tales as well as astronomical fanatics. War Tower promises to be an interesting book to read.

It's nice that the author managed to create an entire civilization, but I'm not sure this is the book for me. Thanks for the objective review.
