Mercy, however, is also a complicated character. She's depicted through each book in the series as a strong woman, who doesn't really need the protection of others. Unlike Christy, Mercy's morals are reflected in they way she treats those around her and her willingness to make sacrifices for the good of all. This is a trait that Christy cannot stand, since she never learned to perfect it herself.
Christy may decide to move closer to Adam, but he will likely put his foot down when she requests to live in his home any longer. The rest of the pack may open their own doors to Christy, but maybe not, since they find increased respect for Mercy after finally watching her fight. Even if Christy moves back, it's doubtful Mercy and Adam's relationship would be in jeopardy, since both of them are devoted to holding on to those they love.
On a side note, Patricia Briggs did an amazing job designing Christy's character to be both annoying and somehow innocent. She gets under the reader's fingernails and still charms everyone else in the series.
