Steel Reign Steel Reigns, a thief turned spy, then bounty hunter who journeys across the galaxy of Proxima Centauri in pursuit of a band of rogue super-soldiers, before they can plot against King William Derry and his kingdom on the planet Fabricius. Killing and collecting bounties are just part of the fun and way of collecting extra credits. Who is aboard the ship Eclipse and is forced to contest in a precarious game in the arena of sport under the space Pirate, Forge. When the deal falls through, Reign is forced to hastily come up with a plan B to save Olia before it’s too late, the stakes are raised even higher when he finds out that Olia is the source of a cure to a pernicious virus called DX, that practically took his eye. Along the way he acquires a makeshift space crew, comprising of a nerdy hacker called Gifford, a super-nova pilot, stink and his long-lost lover and partner in crime, Sereas. Steel Reign:Flight of the starship Concord by Braxton A. Cosby is a multi-layered work of fiction that covers the science fiction, action and adventure genres. Braxton takes the reader into a whole new foreign world in a quick-paced, thrilling tone. The science-fiction concepts of world-building and the character design are pleasingly solid. The story revolves around friendship, trust, love and unity. At first, the protagonist finds it a bit challenging to work with others as he is used to riding solo, but seeing as to how desperately he needs to get to his long-lost sister he stifles his pride and accepts all the help he can get. Along the way he soon learns to respect each individual’s area of expertise; he eventually finds himself relying on teamwork if they are to rescue his sister and walk out of it alive.

One thing I enjoyed about the book is the realistic sci-fi universe rife with lots of technology that I’ve never heard of or read about in any book before. For example the hot hydrogen-based rounds and the eye augmentation that allows him to see through walls. The book is a solidly entertaining piece of work, a strangely superb integration of science fiction, action, adventure and drama all laced with humour. It hit all the right spots for me and was a good read. I recommend the book for readers over the age of sixteen due to the use of explicit and sexual language and the inclusion of some graphic violence.

I didn’t find anything to dislike about this book. The flow of the story was excellent and fun to read, the editing was exceptional, with zero errors.

I Am rating this book a 4 out of 4 stars because it was exceptionally edited. And the storyline was alluring.
