Review of The Water Bear
Have you ever wondered what happens in other planets aside from the one we live in? Have you ever stopped for a second to think of what living between the stars would be like? The Water Bear by Groucho Jones features Dr. Box, Kintuo, Ito, Water Bear, and many more interesting characters. Dr. Box was the first of her kind to travel between the stars riding the lightship. The journey was everything she expected it to be.
This book explored the adventures of Ophelia Box popularly called Dr. Box. She is a space traveler. She went on several missions one of which was to save a certain city called Fluxor. Being an enthusiast, Dr. Box met and made friends with a lot of people like Aloïs Buss, Brin, Marco, and many others.
Things got interesting when some children led by Iris visited the spaceship. They had the opportunity to ask questions about the history of Earth, which is where they came from. This way, it helped them experience it through their imagination. To save the city, Dr. Box and her team time-traveled a couple of times into the future. But did they succeed in saving the city? Find out by reading this engaging science fiction.
This book has a lot of positive aspects. The length of this book ensured that the interest of the reader was not lost. This book kept me on my toes; I kept on predicting what would happen next. I believe any reader with an interest in science fiction would be intrigued as well. Also, the interesting conversations that the spaceships had with individuals at different times, the ability of the spaceships to perform surgery, and the coherence throughout the book made this book unique and exciting. I did not find any grammatical errors in this book, which is a plus; this shows that it was exceptionally well-edited.
I tried so hard to find a negative aspect to this book, but I found none. I enjoyed everything about this book. I was glued to this book from the very first page to the last. Also, the author, Groucho Jones did a good job by having a list of characters and what they represent. The characters were unique, but I was able to picture their qualities and appearances.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I did not give this book a lower rating because it was captivating and enjoyable to read. I recommend this book to those who are interested in science fiction. Anyone who loves science will also enjoy reading this book.
