Great review. I’ve always been fascinated with stories with AI and how that would change society…and it’s almost always not good. I’m excited to see where this author takes his version of the “humans Vs. machines” story.

Since this book was first featured last year, I have read it and the sequel, The Prophecy of the Heron, and loved them both!

A society where free will is no more than a convincing illusion, remains the place Kim lives in. This dystopian novel intrigue me so much. It gives me an insight about the futuristic development that might happen in this world. It is terrifying because I know that with the fast development of technology, this is not possible from happening. I, too, will give Terms of Service 4 out of 4 stars.

Man vs. machine is not a new concept but with AI being prevalent more in our daily lives, one wonders about the outcome. Kim vaguely remembers a time before being turned over to the robots for raising in a controlled environment. In the sample and the review, this life is described in rules and procedures with machines ruling over humans. Kim does have problems with despair and she seems to have trouble with this life and has to redirect her reaction. This world and Kim's dealing with it are fascinating and worth the read. Thanks for an excellent review.

A great “signs of the times” novel!! What a great review- man versus machines is not an overdone idea in my opinion and it would be interesting to see how the author sets this novel apart. I can’t wait to read about Kim’s journey.

Yes! 'The Rise of the Machines' is definitely coming, and it sounds like the author has done an excellent job depicting this. I'm really looking forward to reading this one.

This book has been on my “To read” list for quite some time now because of all the great reviews I have read on OBC. I sampled the first chapter and was pleasantly surprised at how unique the storyline of this book was. I applaud the author’s imagination. I felt transported to the futuristic world described in the book. Congrats on being nominated the BOTD!

Kim's new role must have really disappointed her expectations and goals. Sometimes, in life, things like this happens. I feel that based on this review, this book will be relatable to real life. I am bound to read.

To be honest I enjoyed your review of the book more than mine, the challenge of the notions of reality vs illusion and leadership which is the main theme of the book. The use of drugs which I found a bit disconcerting s one of the main issues of the book. But, overall your review makes me want to read the book again. Thanks for your review.

The sample of *Terms of Service* by Craig W. Stanfill creates suspense and curiosity about ‘Kim’ and the AI world she lives in. Even though everything Kim does is boring, mundane and beige to her, it is interesting to read and think of AI being in charge and monitoring as well as punishing humans for slight to large infractions.
