Containment Breach by Wm. A. Yandell is a fictional story set in the confines of space and all the dangers it entails. It follows the life of a scientist Walter Smithton, who is fueled by paranoia about his work, which frankly lacks ethical boundaries. He follows the footsteps of his idol Doctor Demetrius Zayack who has suddenly disappeared which in turn casts doubt on his experiments, making him ponder if what he has done is right or wrong.

It also immediately introduces the dangers of his experiments as the misfortune fall on Captain Alvarez and his crew aboard the space shuttle Allen. Tragedy befalls the captain, making things worse he will not be told who or what is attacking his crew members at an alarming rate. All the later factors put the doctor in a whirlwind of emotions that beset him on a journey that pits him against the allied army and his conscience.

The book is exhilarating and gripping keeping one glued from cover to cover. What I liked most about the story was how the characters were depicted especially the integral ones. The antagonists' and protagonists' emotional growth serve to add a human element to the fictional, this, in turn, made the relatable thus making it an enjoyable read.

All the above factors make the reader have a stake in the outcome of the story. This also paints a vivid picture stimulating the imagination, making one picture themselves in a particular scene, tugging on the readers' emotions, proving that the author has excelled in this particular writing technique.

There is nothing to dislike about the book, however, there are a few instances of profanity spread out in the book. There is no sexual content in the book and, it does not tackle any religious aspects since it is purely fictional. The book is professionally edited, indicating the author was motivated to make the book memorable and easy to read.

I recommend the book to fictional lovers, those who like to wonder if there is life beyond the stars and they will interact with humanity once we make contact, and those seeking a story filled with adventure and discovery that is sure to tug at your heartstrings. Due to the use of profanity in some scenes, the book is suitable to mature readers. Due to the factors stated above, I happily rate this book at four out of four stars, showing what a wonderful job the author has accomplished.
