In The Rise of the Savior, the Acolyte of Truth Amanda is introduced as an 18-year-old young woman fresh from high school. She lives in a normal, jovial family with her family. Her parents are quite normal and exemplary parents who take time to play video games with their kids. Amanda has one sister, Siara, who is distant, weird and emotionless. Amanda trains karate and one day when coming from karate classes with her father, they are involved in a terrible accident. The accident changes everything in her life. She meets her fate as she discovers she’s the acolyte of truth.

Jamie is a professional doctor who has too much on his shoulder. He discovers his wife's infidelity, which leaves him broken. His only son is diagnosed with cancer. His son is in verge of dying and nothing can be done. Jamie will do anything to save his son from dying. He finds someone who shows him how to save his son, but it involves killing. Out of the love of his son, Jamie takes the offer.

In this book, Antoine Bonner has done a great job. This fast-paced sci-fi fantasy novel has a unique story line that is well written. Characters are well developed. It’s an easy read. I have not read its prequel Rise of the Hearts, but I flowed with a story. Amanda at 18 years, she’s supposed to save the world from the acolyte of death. Amanda is not ready to take the responsibility but after losing her mum, dad and her sister being next on line, she is forced to take responsibility. What I like about this book is how the story line unfolds in the beginning. Amanda is trying hard to understand her sister, but towards the end of the book, their relationship grows stronger.

Despite how much I loved and enjoyed this book, I found myself lost due to too many characters. Siara's character I feel it’s overdone for a six years. She’s behaving and talking like an adult. Jamie talked of kidnapping kids in front of his son. It sounds unreal. Amanda she’s portrayed as a weakling and she gets stronger in the last chapters of the book wish could have happened earlier.

The rise of the savior, The Acolyte of Truth, is masterfully written and very easy to read. It does not contain sexual scenes, but it’s full of violence. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I did not find any errors. The story line is well planned and captivated me from the first page. I recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy and young adult’s stories
