Saviour saved by the imperiled, is what got me amused as I progressed reading Steel Reign: Flight of The Starship Concord by Braxton A. Cosby. Reign a former Spy/ member of the Thieves Guild, and a Bounty Hunter, unexpectedly meets Gifford, the genius in his flight to Neyaz Jezpa, in the Gloria-Space Transit Ship. Who convinced and promised to help him with Proper Technology and Credits if he had to succeed in his quest of reaching the Eclipse to save his sister. Afterward, Gifford proposed to take Princess Varia's Concord for the flight to the Eclipse. For the love of Olia, his sister, he agreed to the deal. Things got sour when Serias got in their way at the Opus. Meeting Serias his former lady friend, affected their mission in another way, Serias, a former member of the Thieves of Light and partner to Steel Reign at then, whom when he met, Reign fall for her again rekindling their longtime affectionate. But at this time, Serias was the Princess's personal security, which turned out to be a distraction to their plan. How did it go with reign and Gifford? Did they succeed or not?

Just like what he intended this book to be, Mr. Cosby gave a touch that could be felt by readers whilst reading, he had fun with it. I in one felt like being part of the main character's life. Sharing his worries, facing his fears, and miraculous triumph over all threats with him. The story is so touching and captivating. I liked how the author kept his audience glued on pages in what seemed like suspense but yet straight and fulfilling writing style on the main storyline while introducing some new storylines without causing any choke to the concentration on the main one. The main storyline is clear from the beginning and the ending is also somehow satisfying even though it is not the end of the story, guessing from what Mr. Cosby notified at the end of the last chapter. There's much I liked in this book which I couldn't afford listing down; and so I will settle for one statement as what I liked most:" I did it. I made a mistake I allowed them in. Too many, too close. Let my guard down, breaking all the rules of a good spy. Against my instincts I trusted them. Now I will lose everything."

On the other hand, one thing that gave me a bitter feeling was knowing that the persuasive genius, Gifford, was on an assignment to bring Reign and the Concord to King William for the crime of allowing King Gregorio to die at his hand. The other thing that I disliked a bit was the disappointment of my expectations in some scenes. For example, when the Synth threatened to kill Serias, I expected some bravado from Reign which didn't happen that way. However, Reign proved to be undefeated in most scenes. He was good with the gun.

The book was exceptionally well edited with no errors except for the direct usage of numerical numbers instead of writing them in words. which moreover I assume to be under the author's licensed use.

In closing, I rate Steel Reign: Flight of The Concord, four out of four stars. Reason being that the book was professionally edited, the plot engaging, and the writing style very much interesting. Leaving me with no reason to deduct a star. I recommend it to sci-fi fans, adventure novel fans, and action thriller fans. Non-fiction readers have an option to try it or not.
