Review of The Elf Coup - Book Three of the Magi Charter
The Elf Coup book three of the Margi Charter Series consists of a nine parts series written by Jordan David. It's a story loaded with interesting characters, adventure, and action. It's a perfect fit for my personality type, and I can't wait to read the following books, The Elf Brief, The Elf Archive, The Elf Accord.
In this mystical world of creatures, Elfs, and Santas, I have found that they have the same challenges with greed and power as in the human world. One Elf's need for empowerment, and the need to be in charge of the complex giving instructions to Santa, left me stunned. Despite challenges, Noel and Master Lux worked together to save the mission and prevent a coup.
In a short time frame, Noel received training using several rune types, and his determination and passion for assisting in the council's mission were admirable. At the complex, several retired elves from the retirement village were assisting Anna and the council members with communication matters. A young elf working in the First Contact Department has been working with the team preventing the Purple Hats and FCD from intervening with the rescue mission at hand.
The cheerful North Pole complex changed in no time to a dreadful place that's invaded, with bears and a creature that presented a threat to the peaceful surroundings. I did feel some sympathy for Krampus that searched so long to be with his Santa, and that he could not understand that he didn't belong with Santa. Combining the characters of Kiki and Mother Elf to the rescue left the incumbents with warm and happy memories. That was an excellent idea from the author Jordan David. I was impressed with the revealing of the secret concerning Christmas reindeers.
I did have the privilege of reading The Elf Legacy that forms part of the Margi Charter series. I rate The Elf Coup 4 out of 4 stars. The grammar and few spelling errors did not prevent me from enjoying the story. It did not have any impact, and it was more hyphens and punctuation errors. The novel offers something for everyone and an experience not to be missed by revealing the characters in each destination, taking the reader to the enchanting world of a Christmas mission, Elves and Santas. My recommendation to all book lovers is to read the first two books of the series before reading The Elf Coup.
