In Off the Pages, Alejandro Gonzalez produced a beautiful work of fiction that tells the story of superpowers, villains, the surge of power, power quest, and ultimate battle. The story begins with Manfred Voren, a fat man who works so hard but has little to show for it. He had dedicated his service to a company but had received just a slight raise from what he was paid before. He was frustrated with his work as well as his city, which had very few work opportunities. An emission of different coloured light particles in the sky was an unforgettable event that Manny was indifferent about. He felt it was not such an eventful occurrence. When the president declared it was not an alien invasion, it brought the mind to rest. However, it was an outburst that triggered the super mechanism in Manny. He looked at his face and discovered he had a female counterpart. He hid this for some time, learnt her, and when his friends showed up to save him from her, he disclosed his dual identity to them. Find out more about the story by reading through the pages of the book.

The book has a lot of positive points. Firstly, it was simple to understand because the author explained the characters of the superpowers based on their comic replica. Furthermore, the book was adventurous and suspenseful, giving the reader more reasons to continue reading to the end of the story. The author was able to extensively describe the ways the superpowers worked and how they were able to work together with the non-superpowers. The story also helps readers understand empathy and the meaning of life away from financial gain or wealth.

The book also has some negative points. I didn't like that the book contained a lot of vulgar language. I felt the offensive words were unnecessary in some instances. Also, the book was too ambiguous. Anybody who does not have prior knowledge of comics and superpowers will find it difficult to relate to the characters in the book. Also, some characters in the book were unnecessary. The too many characters made it unnecessarily lengthy and a bit boring to me.

The book was professionally edited. The errors in it are negligible. I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. I didn't give it a lower rating because it was thrilling and suspenseful. The author did a great job at combining crime, adventure, and religion. I also love the coordination of the heroes in achieving their desired results. I didn't rate it higher because the book was too lengthy, ambiguous and a bit boring.

I recommend this book to lovers of crime fiction. Lovers of adventure and religion will also enjoy this. Lastly, readers who love comic characters will equally enjoy it.
