The book starts by following Ben, a recent college graduate with no job, no girlfriend, and nothing looking too promising for him in the future. Ben’s life is completely shifted when the lovely and troubled Jenna breaks down his door and asks him how the hell to get out of his place un-noticed. After their initial encounter Ben is thrown into Jenna’s world, which involves the Cult of New Beginnings. The cult, like most I imagine, is extremely power hungry and will do anything to make sure their mission (a new alien master can be brought back to life) is completed. Ben and Jenna must do whatever it takes to stop this cult from rising their alien master and along the way they learn a lot more about alien encounters in different parts of the world. Ben and Jenna also form some alliances but you never do know who you can trust in your life. The friendships and betrayals in this book keep the pages turning throughout this entire novel.
What I enjoyed most about this novel was that it was really easy to get invested in the characters story. Maybe it’s just my fascination with all things paranormal/supernatural but I do think this novel was well crafted. All of the things you hear about cults or aliens are represented in this book which makes it even more fun because you can imagine all of the things the author describes, from aliens having built the pyramids in Egypt to having aliens looking after the human race on Easter Island. It is said that reading a book can take you on many adventures when you are not able to afford to really go out and have them and this book definitely delivers that. The book also offers different perspectives from different characters and I think while this could have been distracting it was constructed well enough not to deter from the story.
I am not entirely sure what could have made this book better. Every character in the book is fun to relate to at some point or another and your humanity is sort of tested throughout the novel. From cheering on Ben to being optimistic about his and Jenna’s relationship the whole novel sort of just flows in the way you want and expect it to. The ending really cinches it for me too, and makes me want to read the next book in the series.
All in all I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun fast pace read. I would gladly and especially recommend this work to anyone who believes “The truth is out there”, and encourage it as a fiction piece for a fun break from all of the shows and books that try to prove alien existence. Though I would strongly advise against finding and joining a cult that claims to make an alien overlord rise, which seems to never work out. Not in this book and not in any book or story, really ever. I hope that someone else does read this work shortly so we can speculate together what will happen in the next chronicle. Thank you to the author for this work, it really was an enjoyable ride.

Hi! Thank you for writing this book. I hope to be able to expect the next in the series soon? As for posting this review on Amazon it's against the rules but I can try and post the link, and if I find I have a little bit of time I may refer back to my notes and write a different (of course still positive review) on Amazon. Thank you for writing back to me, it's a very interesting feeling to get to talk to an author of a book!clmjlg wrote:Hi I am the author of this book and I wanted to thank you for your review.
