Review of We Love You,Madam President
In We Love You, Madam President, Alvin S. Berger wrote an intriguing story about a corrupt government and the steps the people took to bring about a change in government.
The story starts with Mallory and Matt Cranston, a couple who met in a war zone in Israel. They fought against the Saudis to protect a human-like robot that the Saudis wanted to weaponise. The couple worked with Doctor Yashefsky. He was the main creator of the dynamic robot with high intellectual ability. The plan was to incorporate the robot into humanity. When the process was not feasible, the robot had to be merged with a human, and Mallory Cranston was the only available, suitable person she could be merged with. The quest to understand the growth and capabilities of Adama led Mallory to give up herself. A corrupt program that Ron had encrypted into the robot generated an obsession for Mallory to become president. She was able to detect corrupt practices and knew how to solve such issues without fear or favor. Find out more about Mallory's presidential quest by reading this intriguing story.
The book has a lot of positive points. I liked that the author had a beautiful way of bringing the various characters together at one focal point. The author's diction was easily understandable. Also, the author was able to explain the moral lesson behind every action. I also love that the book was suspenseful, as that made it even more interesting to read. I also loved that despite facing different challenges, the characters never backed down, rather they were determined to do the right thing, and that was their major driving force. The reader can learn resilience from the characters in the story.
The book also has some negative points. A lot of characters were not important to the story and could have been done away with. An example is Senator Susan and her husband. Secondly, I didn't like that the book contained a lot of vulgar words. It made the book not suitable for readers of a younger age range. Also, I feel that the characters of the CIA agents in the story were not molded properly. It painted a not-so-good image of the CIA.
The book was exceptionally well edited. I found no spelling or grammatical errors in it. However, I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. I did not give the book a higher rating because I encountered a lot of vulgar words in it. Again, some parts of the author's writing style didn't quite appeal to me. I feel the storyline could have been made a lot less complex. I couldn't fully grasp some parts of the story. I didn't give the book a lower rating because, regardless of its complexity, it was an interesting story to read.
I recommend this book to readers who enjoy crime fiction. Lovers of science fiction will also have a good time reading the book.
