Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are voulhire: A new arrival under great skies by Matthew Tysz, is a very interesting book full of curiosities; you start from page 1 curiously up to the very end of the book. It reveals the co-existence between the real world and the magic world. To me this is a series book I got addicted to, it is like a movie you start and always wonder what is next fortunately not easy to predict, I started the book asking myself why is it entitled like this, who is a new arrival and where are great skies? It was difficult for me to get the perfect answer to this question but I eventually got it, not sure though if it is a real answer.
The way Matthew Tysz connects ideas it is clear that he is a great writer, with intriguing stories and very intelligent people that contrast each other made me enjoy the book. The author introduces readers to people of various perspectives and articulates well what he is saying, making it so easy to read the book and while you are reading you can visualize people with their actions like you are there. My favorite person in this book is Maido, I really liked the way he feels confident and his challenges. The story I liked most is at the high forum of law in Soulhire, it is funny how the judge tried to terrify Mr. de Lasette and end up getting terrified herself. The book reveals that even in difficulties we can survive and the encouraging quote from the book is the words Galen’s grandmother used to tell him “see good in everything and the best of it will find you”. All kinds of activities are in the book, dancing, fighting and it is entertaining of course. Every story has a title but the writer connects them well, it starts you can’t understand why this title but is all correlated; stories are narrated in good and understandable manners. The book has very good grammar and vocabulary, it so a comprehensible and readable book.
I liked the book a lot so that I can’t get anything to complain, Matthew Tysz met my expectations and even went beyond them. It requires the reader to read the previous series and need to read the next series, the author made the book not so long, the reader cannot take a long time reading the book.
In addition, the book is vast because it combines different regions which makes it good on my side you don’t get focused in one place. It includes the stories from the lands of princes, Hillport, Soulhire, Voulhire, Yamon soul, and Virko. It is the book for all non-believers and believers but I can say it is somehow political and traditional at once, believers can find in the book something they don’t like but it is the book for casual readers. If you don’t like magic and kingdom stories, I recommend you to not read the book.
Finally, I rate we are Voulhire: A new arrival under great skies by Matthew Tysz. 4 out of 4 stars. It’s well written, has no grammatical errors, dots are connected well and it is professionally edited.
