Black soul eater by Nyaude Bryan is the third book of legacies of monsters.
This book is a ghastly tale about a villainous immortal monster who travels in various cities in search of a book which was rumoured to have great power ,with the aim of recovering his lost soul. Along his journey he has to fight evil humans, witches, ghouls and monsters to retrieve this book. In the end of his journey Rave finds happiness and is faced with a tough choice. Will he cast aside his soul and give happiness a chance or will he as originally planned destroy everything that stands in his way and recoup his lost soul?

There were so many aspects of this book that I liked, the author's ability to clearly define scenes which made it easier to picture them, made me feel like I was actually present in those scenes. Bryan is a brilliant writer indeed; he creates suspense and tension in most parts of the book which made it stay alive. He made good use of the element of suprise for instance;the twist at the end of the book was mind blowing and the least expected.

I loved how he used the voice of the central character to narrate the story which made it easier to connect with the central character. As much as the central character was a psychotic sadist who did everything for his own personal benefit he had a soft spot for children which made me empathize with him. The author also brings out a sense of humour for example; when he pays himself with the people's belongings because they were not great full he had freed the city. I didn't really find any negative aspects about this book, I would definitely re-read this book.

The story was well written but I noticed very minor grammatical errors. I did not dislike this book the plot and flow of the story was perfectly fine, I would give this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I highly recommend this book to those who love horror stories and fantasies. There were so many scenes that portrayed violence and use of dark magic, but it was a fascinating experience reading this book, I am contented.
