Black Soul Eater is a book written by Byran Nyade. It is a science fiction that revolves around an immortal on a journey through galaxies in search of a book known as the legendary book to aid in the recovery of his lost soul. Black Soul Eater consists of 17 exhilarating chapters filled with so much suspense that it leaves you excited for more.

The story begins with Rave, the protagonist, riding into an abandoned town in search of this "legendary book" after losing his soul. An event catalyzed by his friend, Shovan. In this arc, Rave goes through numerous life and death situations on his quest to find this relic rumoured to hold secrets capable of returning his soul to him. He eventually has to enlist the help of a witch named Lannah to travel off world to another planet, as the book has been retrieved by an important and powerful figure. Would Rave be able to overcome his challenges and retrieve his soul, or would he die trying?

I immensely enjoyed Black Soul Eater, as it was filled with so much action and magic, and it gave a different perspective to the world of the supernatural. I also admired the tenacity and courage Rave showed in the face of danger, especially challenges he came across on the journey to recover his soul. The author was able to portray Rave's character in a manner that drove the reader's support and even show us his vulnerable and good side despite him being an immortal criminal. I love the fact that he was able to feel something close to love even though it was superficial, as I am a sucker for romance. I also loved the way Jaris Lycole was introduced and portrayed, as it always made me laugh remembering it.

The one part of the book I did not like was the fact that it was too short, and also the excessive usage of complex words and grammar. The characters made us of words that I honestly do not think people use in day-to-day life, which made the book a bit unrealistic at times. The characters also talked way too much during battle, which I found really annoying.

Black Soul Eater was professionally edited, as I found no errors. While I have a few reservations about the use of complex words and mid-battle chatter, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to people who love action packed science fictions. Every scene made me anticipate the next, and I look forward to reading more books from this author.

I find Mr. Mellen's story motivating, and I like the message he tried to pass across in his book, as I feel like it's important to look forward to a new and better future when going through a rough patch. A lot of people tend to give up after they suffer a major setback in life, Takes more than a heart is a book that will inspire them to want to continue looking for a way out. The review was well written.
