Gabrielle Bridge is a college student whose goal is to make a success of herself and achieve greatness in her scientific career as well as an escape from her alcoholic mother. She has her eye on a fellow student, Toby, who she feels will be an asset to her future, due to his great mind, plus she is attracted to his nerdy looks. Unfortunately Gabrielle is not good with social interactions so she has not worked up the courage to ask Toby to work with her and be her partner professionally and romantically. She has multiple personalities, Elle, Brie and Gabe which she hides, because she knows people will think she is insane, her personalities seldom agree with each other which makes it even more difficult to interact with others. Instead of getting paired up with Toby in Fundamentals of physics class, her favorite class, she gets paired up with William Wyseman to help him understand the subject, much to her disgust. As she works with Williams she realizes that he is not as dumb as she thought and is something unexpected. She finds out he is a wizard trying to beat a powerful enemy and hoping to use science as a means to do that, along the way they find out that Gabrielle is full of surprises. The love between William and Gabrielle develops and becomes a lot more than expected.

This book falls into so many different genres, Science Fiction, Romance, Drama and suspense, so there is something for everyone.

I found the book to be a bit dull in the beginning, but then it got so much better as I read further, until I thoroughly enjoyed it. As the story progresses all was explained so the previous chapters started to make sense, turning it into a great read. The characters were full of life with deep personalities that added extra depth to the book. I am excited to see what the next book in the story holds as well as the progress in William’s and Gabrielle romance, if they managed to find a solution to the problem facing them.

The author has a good writing style, even though it took awhile to get into the book, she manages to captivate her audience as the story progresses. She wrote a flawless story that was well worth the read and kept me entertained.

I rate this book a 3 out of 4 and would definitely recommend adding it to your reading list in the near future.
