They say that moving to a new country is one of the hardest things that people do. Nobody really looks forward to the stress of having to settle and make new friends all over again. But Galen is not most people. The day that he arrived in Voulhire was one of the happiest days of his life. Why? Because he would rather live in a foreign land as a refugee than be killed in his home country by hunger or war. Now that he is in Voulhire, he must build his new home and learn his new trade. But with the help of Rowan, his friend, he throws himself into an adventure that he knows nothing about. He will soon learn that, despite being a beautiful and peaceful kingdom, not every person in Voulhire is happy with that peace and beauty.

Matthew Tysz tells readers about this beautiful kingdom, its people, and its refugees in We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. He said so much about this kingdom that he had to make the whole story a series that he titled We Are Voulhire. We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies is just the first book in that series.

It would be dishonest of me to claim that I despised at least one thing in this novel. I did not despise anything in it because I found myself falling hand over heart in love with the storyline and the way that Matthew Tysz told it. What I liked the most was the description. I know that so many people have also fallen in love with Matthew Tysz's way of describing things, but I did not understand why until I read his book for myself. He has a habit of describing everything as if he's trying to put it in the spotlight, even inanimate objects. An example was the way he explained what lactis steel looked like and how the Mianoran Knights that were clad in it looked. It felt like he had just given that object a moment to shine in my head and helped me capture it using my mind's eye.

We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies was meticulously edited, leaving no room for typos to appear. I am speaking for myself, though. And because I did not see what to dislike in the novel (not that I was bent on finding one), I give it a rating of four out of four stars.

I highly think that We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies will appeal to readers that love adventure and fantasy novels very much. It falls into the genre of fantasy because of the magic and higher power displayed in it. But readers will also get to follow the characters' adventures in and out of Voulhire.

The plot of this book is very interesting. I wonder what Galen gets into in this new country. Great review! :techie-studyingbrown:
