Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz is a book laced with magic, politics, wars, and science.
Have you ever imagined what it would be like mentally for someone raised in a war-zone environment? This was the case of a young man called Galen. Galen was born in the Lands of Princes, where there has been war. The Lands of Princes have been at war since when Galen was born. His life has been in danger, and he thought of ways to escape. Then, he thought of running to another land. Escaping the Lands of Princes was like a death trap, but he escaped successfully. He left for new land, a new life, and adventure. He went to Magnum Caelum. In Magnum Caelum, he experienced peace for the first time, and life continued peacefully for him. He discovered his late uncle had left him a house and some good money. He also took it upon himself to become a blacksmith, his late uncle's profession. Life was perfect until a piece of disturbing news broke out. What was this news?
We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Mathew Tysz is the most fantastic novel I have ever read. I think he's a good writer. This book will take readers into a magical world and fantasy. It is written in the third-person narrative. Galen's perspectives were written in the first person, though.
This is a work that will teach the core role of leadership, as shown in King Wilhem's character and Edus Alderman's. King Wilhem is a king that shows calmness and exudes wisdom in whatever he does or says. Edus is a leader of a small tribe that would rather offer to listen to his people before carrying out any activities.
One thing I love about this book is Galen's character. I love his development in the story. A young, timid man from the Lands of Princes, Galen developed into a very responsible, hardworking personality. He seems nice and quiet. He does not talk until he's been asked to. I'm not surprised at this. He grew up in a land where it is socially impossible to mingle with anyone due to the war.
Also, this is a book that portrays political abilities, magic, and science. These all add to the brilliance of this work. I think the author should write more. He seems like a brilliant writer.
There was nothing I disliked about this book. I also believe it was exceptionally edited too because I found no errors. Therefore, I will give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. There were some profanities, though. So, this might only be suitable for adults and young adults. I will recommend this book to lovers of fiction laced with magic and magical fantasies.
