Touch the Dark by Karen Chance

Post by LeeErin »

Touch the Dark is a mysterious and original story well worth reading. Fans of Charlaine Harris and anything paranormal will love this book and have a hard time putting it down. Karen Chance keeps the story action filled and fast paced with never a dull second or boring moment. Cassie is a kick ass heroine who knows what she wants, and isn’t intimidated by anyone. Billy Joe brings hilarity to the story and readers will double up laughing at Billy Joe’s antics. Mircea is both sexy and dangerous, and both a good guy and a bad guy. Touch the Dark is told in Cassie’s point of view, which makes for excellent and readable dialogue. Chance’s plot is creative and her vampire world interesting and treacherous. Touch the Dark is probably the best urban fantasy I’ve read in a long time, and I’ll recommend this book to anyone.

Summary:
Cassie can speak to the dead and see the future. Both talents make her a favorite of the dead and undead alike. Cassie isn’t afraid of the dead they just like to talk, but the undead can be dangerous, and she tries to avoid them at all costs. When the vampire Mafioso she escaped from finds her with ideas of revenge, Cassie must seek refuge with the vampire senate, and they don’t help anyone for nothing. Now Cassie must work with one of the senate’s most powerful and dangerous master vampires, and the price he demands might be too much for Cassie to pay.
