A small town has become the epicentre of supernatural events, and eighteen-year-old Amanda is unknowingly caught up in the middle of it. When people with regular lives are chosen by deities and given superpowers, mysterious events start happening around the town. Amongst it all, Amanda survives a fatal car crash and is given her own powers by becoming the Acolyte of Truth. She knows when someone is lying immediately and can shoot guns from her hands. Amanda is recruited by a secret agency that wants her to become the hero to save the world from imminent danger and destruction. Even though Amanda wants to be part of none of this, she has no choice when her family becomes involved with dangerous people that could put their lives in danger. Rise of the Savior: Acolyte of Truth by Antoine Bonner follows Amanda as she tries to navigate her life after getting powers while trying to protect everyone she loves.

I loved reading Rise of the Savior: Acolyte of Truth by Antoine Bonner. Not only does this book have a captivating story, but it also has strong characters with real struggles and flaws, which makes them more human and relatable. This makes the audience feel the characters' emotions, whether fear, abandonment or happiness. This book connects supernatural and mystery in a captivating take of superhumans that have a choice to use their powers for the good or bad but are swayed by the circumstances life has presented for them, thus making them a hero or villain.

While reading this book, there was not a single time when I felt bored or did not enjoy reading it. It is a page-turner with many adventures and twists and turns. Although it is fast-paced, with stories of different characters taking place at once, it is not hard to follow. Providing different points of view of the same story offers the reader a more enriching experience to understand the story and characters. So, I did not dislike anything about this book.

I gave Rise of the Savior: Acolyte of Truth by Antoine Bonner 4 out of 4 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The originality of the story s commendable since I have never read anything like it. Moreover, I did not find a single spelling or grammatical error, as it is exceptionally well-edited, making it an even better read.

I would recommend this book to ages fifteen and up because even though the story and plot are very original and creative, this book does include frequent uses of verbal profanities, which are more suitable for a mature audience. Mature audiences will learn from the strong characters better than younger audiences, as there are many loveable characters, each with traits that bring adventure and power to the story.

To sum up, Rise of the Savior: Acolyte of Truth by Antoine Bonner is an original story with loveable characters, each teaching the readers valuable life lessons regarding perseverance, determination, and the importance of making the right choices. This is why I gave this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. Audiences will enjoy every page while reading this book and witness the true meaning of being a hero.
