I cannot begin to imagine what Delvin must have been feeling after finding out he was framed to have killed his role model. I'm curios if he's mission and his accomplice will succeed or not. Great job on the review. I will be adding this book on my to read list

Jarla is my favorite character in the book. You are absolutely correct in your review that back in those days, men took charge and women stood back and watched. Your review was very compelling!

Thanks for your good review, wich makes me want to read the book. I'd like to comment, though, that you mentioned "Hengel" in the review, without explaining what, or who it is. In addition, you mentioned preventing war as the main plot, and you didn't relate to whether the mystery of who, and why, killed Delvin's mentor Borlock is solved, and in what way.

I've just downloaded this book as the book of the day and can't wait to read it. I write in a similar genre and have been looking for a book like this to read by the lake (I live in Chicago on Lake Michigan). Thanks for all the great reviews, They were very helpful in my decision on what to read next :) .

This sounds like such an interesting read which is full of plot twists and magic. I'd surely want to read this to find out who framed Delvin and the captivating characters that was Jarla, who wasn't afraid to speak her mind. Thankyou for such an excellent review.

it is a very interesting review. The great storyline too. I believe that Delvin is not guilty and was not the cause of the death of his role model. I am so curious about his journey with great mission and motivation. Thank you for the review. Congrats &GBU

Providing a comprehensive and balanced perspective on "The Magician's Secret".It's fantastic that the author, Charles Townsend, was successful in setting up the story with a rapid pace, leaving you with numerous questions that kept you eagerly moving on to the next chapter.
