Sounds like a interesting fantasy tale rich in mystery. What happened between Barlock and Delvin? Is Delvin bloodguilt? Or what just happened? I would love to read the book but the idea of magic deters me from selecting the book to read. I will skip it. Sorry.

This book was great fun to read! Often fantasy authors neglect creating a dynamic and appropriate background that provide a framework for the story, however Charles has taken that aspect into consideration and created a world that piques your interest right from the first page. Great review!

Devin was devastated to see that he was accused of killing his magician friend. And to think that the whole village was put under a spell to kill him was appalling. Thank God he got delivered.

This book is really interesting. I'm eager to ascertain if Delvin killed his mentor, or is being framed. Thanks for the amazing review.

Intriguing storyline and characters. I'm asking the same questions too, would they be successful in saving Hengel from war? Congratulations on being the Book of The Day.

This review is pretty interesting because it was written so nicely and included all the relevant topics. I was encouraged to add this book by the summary, and while I don't think Delvin was to blame for Borlock's passing, I'm always up for a good surprise. Congratulations on winning the BOTD; nice book!

There's a lot of mystery in the plot, and the addition of magic makes it that much more exciting. This sounds like a great book. Thank you for the review.

I liked this book so much. The adventure, the thrills, and especially the characters. Delvin is the best for me, he is very resourceful and wise in his actions. Thanks for the review.

This book has an interesting plot where you find Delvin (protagonist) interested in learning magic and then embark on an adventurous mission with princess Jarla. Congrats on BOTD.
